The Computer Engineering Department at the University of Technology held discussion seminars for master’s students in the research phase on Monday, 1/16/2023, in the department’s conference hall, in the presence of Scientific Assistant Dr. Ayman Daoud Salman, heads of branches, and members supervising students’ research
The session opened with student Fatima Abdel Sattar Azab discussing her research topic titled: Design of a Real-Time Predictive Neural Controller for Renewable Energy Model based on the Internet of Things Under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Sabah Abdel-Ami Its aim was to build a neural network model of the fuel cell based on real data with a model defined to cover all nonlinear dynamic behavior of the fuel cell model.
In the same session, the student Shaima Qasim Muhammad discussed the subject of her tagged research Hierarchical Multi objective RFID Network Planning based on hybrid swarm intelligence techniques Under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Najm Abdullah & Dr. Ahmed Sabah Abdel Amir The goal of the project is to model and optimize a network layout using hybrid swarm intelligence techniques in order to achieve the optimal solution for the best number of readers RFID
In the same session, the student Baraa Abbas Shahal discussed the subject of her tagged research Localization algorithms based on software defined networking approach in wireless sensor network Under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Najm Abdullah The goal of the research is to find the best algorithm to improve network performance, noting that the applications of wireless networks are very wide, most notably smart cities and the Internet of Things.
In the same session, the student Marwa Khamis Abdel Hassan discussed the subject of her tagged research cellular wireless networks performance evaluation based on analysis of signal quality Under the supervision of Dr. Riad Jabbar The aim of the research is to obtain the best performance of the wireless cellular network and the effects of interference factors on the signal quality and to obtain the best performance and signal quality.
In the same session, the student Heba Imad Nateq discussed the subject of her tagged research Distributed Denial of service attacks detection in IoT devices Under the supervision of Dr. Ayman Daoud Salman & Dr.Ahmed Mousa Dinar This research aims to find algorithms to detect attacks and protect information and the network from cyber attacks, the most famous types of which are: (DDOS)
At the End of session, the student Walla Mahmoud Hassan discussed the subject of her tagged research Autonomous Robot path planning in dynamic environment using AI Under the supervision of Dr. Saman Hammed The goal of this work is to find the shortest path and avoid collisions with obstacles, as well as to find an optimal cost function for the autonomous robot in a dynamic environment.
